@mustafa

at first time i saw thinking the same, but if you look at your solution than you see that the echo packet goes
R1 R2 R4
and the replay
R4 R3 R2 R1
thus you have not realize a bidirectional path and everywhere on cisco books i found that this is not a recommended solution.

please correct me if i'm wrong

Hi Everyone,
First I want to give my thanks to digitaltut & all the helping hands here.
Today I have passed with 895 and the time I took for exam was 57 minutes.

Any way, I have got 3 Lab (IPv6, OSPF & PBR) with ip address changed.
3 D&D, no simlet.
Some totally new questions I have got there.
But pass guide is still can give yo pass mark.

for redistribution sim,I am doing as following, but r1 is going through r2 to r4 not r2 to r3 and r4.please help me to see what I am doing wrong?I know for eigrp metric I put 100 for everything ,just following cbt nuggets ..does it matter to right correct bw,delay, load etc.because they all have adjacency with each other.

router eigrp 100
redistribute ospf 1 metric 100 100 100 100 100
network 192.168.1.0

@Imr
I assumed, that reply to ping is carrying router-ID, instead it is carrying IP address of responding interface. There is not enough evidence for C, D must be right. Thanks

I passed the exam yesterday :-) and this lab was appeared on the exam :-)
but i don't know if i got perfect on this lab, because although i did the correct configurations, but every time that i clicked the HTTP process from the host, i tried to check if the match statement from route-map will increase, but still 0 value, is it needs to have a value than 0?

Good luck and God Bless

@Anonymous:
Question: What is the correct configuration to enable router P4 to exchange RIP routing updates with router P1 but not with router P3?

Response: One can configure "passive-interface" and "neighbor" command in router configuration mode.

What is the correct configuration to enable router P4 to exchange RIP routing updates with router
P1 but not with router P3?
A. P4(Config)# interface fa0/0
P4(Config-if)# neighbor 192.168.10.3
P4(config-if)# passive-interface fa0/0
B. P4(config)# router rip
P4(config-router)#neighbor 192.168.10.3
P4(Config-router)#passive-interface fa0/0

why B is correct here?if we make f0/0 passive,it will not send updates to both p1 and p3 or
may be....
if we configure p1 as neighbor so it will form neighbor relation to p1 but for p3 it will be passive interface...

am i getting it right
please help me if i am missing something here.thanks

Has anyone put together the labs for route in GNS3 format like we have the packet tracer labs for CCNA? or have any other links for good ccnp level labs? I have had a flick through a few pages and did not see a link, then again it's early so I may have been staring straight at them. Thanks.

Passed my exam today. Score 860.
Things to note down.
- order of the questions were different
- BGP questions were there alot. So study it thoroughly
-4 Simulations. IP were different.

OSPF Stub
Redistribution Use on R2 # distance eigrp 90 109
IPv6 Virtual link
Policy Based routing

-OSPF Stub simulation were asking different things. Its asking RI Portland S0/0 to Ping to Lynaic loopback interface also.

-Interfaces will be change in real exams. Like instead of Fa0/0 its Fa0/1
-IPv6 questions and GRE tunnel questions were there.
-D&D-- The one which include show ip typology.. Show ip neighbours one were there.
Other D&D was Sucessor, Feasible Sucessor..one.
- Time limit was 2 hours.
-I got Java error while doing the lab. So dont panic if you came across one. Just notify this to the centre and they will rectify it for u.
Overall I must say its a tough experience. Again this website is so helpful. For those who area planning to give the exams read
Just go through
1 CBT Nuggest Jeromy
2 Practice labs
3 This website
4 Cisco press book
5. Dumps from noenity

Wish you guys best of Luck. Thanks to this website.

-D&D– The one which include show ip typology..

@dunno

It's simply making mention that the ASBR is attempting to inject external routes into the database, not necessarily that the ASBR resides in the same Totally Stubby area, which, as you mentioned is not possible. Also, it makes no mention of 'checking a stubby area for external routes' it is asking "What could be the possible reasons that external routes are not showing up?".

yes.. but the orders of the answers are different.. so dont just memorize the answers (b is the answer for example). You need to study the question and answers.

Sorry, i typed the wrong ip address. i can telnet 10.1.101.1 port 80 from testing host, and i can do the same with 10.1.102.1, but only the Policy routing matches increase in sequence 10 of the show route-map output. i thought with this config only 10.1.101.1 port 80 should works increasing the counters in sequence 10, shouldn't works for 10.1.102.1 port 80 (because is http) and other traffic such telnet 10.1.102.1 should works increasing sequence 20 counters.

i don't understand :)

@bishoy
with this config i can telnet 10.1.102.1 port 80, and the route-map match teh packets, but i can not reach 10.1.102.2, why? route-map pbr permit 20 should permit other traffic and i don't know why. please, somebody knows why?

Passed today with 988/1000 points.

Labs from here, questions from P4S and ActTest.
Thanks alot guys.

The trick on using this site and the dumps is not memorizing them but rather understand why those answers are the correct ones. Also try and use the knowledge acquired in real life environments because sims and books are one thing, but real life setups are far more complicated and takes alot of brainpower to actually understand whats going on there ^_^

Nevermind my previous post.
Question 2. I missunderstood the distribute-list command. D is correct.
Question 5. The metric in R4 does not increase because it is an O E2 route. Anser E is not correct because the metric on R5 is 5, not 6. Verified in lab.
Sorry for creating confusion.

Dears,

Why are we doing mutual redistribution in 2 points?
This may lead to the risk of routing loop without using any route-tag or filtering.

What I did on GNS3, I configured only redistribution from OSPF to EIGRP on R2
AND
Redistribution from EIGRP to OSPF on R3 and the ping from R1 to 172.16.100.1 was successful.

I think this makes sense. Please tell me what you think about that.
