    @ bishoy
    its correct
    there is a “Host for testing” in real exam at EIGRP network click on that host then you find button named “Generate HTTP traffic” click on this button to generate HTTP traffic then go to BorderRouter and type the command
    “show route-map”______>in the output you will see the line “policy routing matches:9 packets it means that the route-map is working.

    hi all,

    Just a word to tell you that today I was playin with GNS3 replicating cbtnuggets labs.
    I was working on OSPF NBMA config lab and I figured how to configure a router to be a frame relay switch :)

    That was really instructive, and I would like to encourage all of you to go further and deeper than the simple labs give on the route exam.

    Wish you all good luck and hae fun

    in ipv6 ospf lab why when use ping ipv6 fec0:4::4 command not reply ?

  8. Anonymous
    January 30th, 2012

    @Bishoy

    You need to issue the command
    Router#ping ipv6 FEC0:4::4

    January 30th, 2012

    @Bishoy

    I did the “config for lab pbr lab” on GNS3 & the only issue I had was with the first line;
    should be in configuration mode for access-list 101 permit tcp any any eq www statement.

    BorderRouter#access-list 101 permit tcp any any eq www

    Should be;

    BorderRouter(Config)#access-list 101 permit tcp any any eq www

    I had taken the exam on 26th, there are 50 questions 4 LABs, 3 D&D labs are same but little change in the OSPF you have to create the areas except that the dumps entitiy & P4S are valid but sequence are abrupt.

    By grace of god i cleared though score was not good, but thanks all, specially digitaltut.

    With this i am a CCDP now…..Bye

    I passed the test today with a little over 900 points. The labs are the same as the ones presented here, just the IP addresses might differ and the ospf process and areas. The only thing you have to add to the configurations shown on this website is the distance eigrp 90 105 for the redistribution sim.

    The questions are from whatever dumps you decide to follow. I also had 3 D&D but nothing crazy. Before going through the questions I read the Official certification guide by Odom and went through the videos from cbt nuggets.

    Good luck everyone! Now switching to switching

    Passed today. Thanks to a lot of websites including this. Three labs (would you believe it…very similar what you see in this website) Read LSA types, BGP attributes, LSA types. Write your own notes for each topic. I found it very useful to understand detail information. Do the Labs in GNS couple of times to inderstand. Goodluck.

    Passed today with 988/1000 points.

    Labs from here, questions from P4S and ActTest.
    Thanks alot guys.

    The trick on using this site and the dumps is not memorizing them but rather understand why those answers are the correct ones. Also try and use the knowledge acquired in real life environments because sims and books are one thing, but real life setups are far more complicated and takes alot of brainpower to actually understand whats going on there ^_^

  38. @Atul
    February 2nd, 2012

    Passed routing today with 988/1000 points.

    In my exam 4 labs pbr, redistribution, IPv6 ospf, ospf stub
    guys be careful in ospf stub because they change the requirement. so learn the concepts.
    and nonenity and actualtest 6.2 is valid.
    and other labs are same as digital tut. Thanx a lot for this site and CBT nuggets
    this site is great for exam. So guys best of luck.

    Now move to switch.

  42. gfalconx

    yes.. but the orders of the answers are different.. so dont just memorize the answers (b is the answer for example). You need to study the question and answers.

    February 3rd, 2012

    Passed my exam today. Score 860.
    Things to note down.
    - order of the questions were different
    - BGP questions were there alot. So study it thoroughly
    -4 Simulations. IP were different.

    OSPF Stub
    Redistribution Use on R2 # distance eigrp 90 109
    IPv6 Virtual link
    Policy Based routing

    -OSPF Stub simulation were asking different things. Its asking RI Portland S0/0 to Ping to Lynaic loopback interface also.

    -Interfaces will be change in real exams. Like instead of Fa0/0 its Fa0/1
    -IPv6 questions and GRE tunnel questions were there.
    -D&D– The one which include show ip typology.. Show ip neighbours one were there.
    Other D&D was Sucessor, Feasible Sucessor..one.
    - Time limit was 2 hours.
    -I got Java error while doing the lab. So dont panic if you came across one. Just notify this to the centre and they will rectify it for u.
    Overall I must say its a tough experience. Again this website is so helpful. For those who area planning to give the exams read
    Just go through

    Has anyone put together the labs for route in GNS3 format like we have the packet tracer labs for CCNA? or have any other links for good ccnp level labs? I have had a flick through a few pages and did not see a link, then again it’s early so I may have been staring straight at them. Thanks.

    What is the correct configuration to enable router P4 to exchange RIP routing updates with router
    P1 but not with router P3?
    A. P4(Config)# interface fa0/0
    P4(Config-if)# neighbor 192.168.10.3
    P4(config-if)# passive-interface fa0/0
    B. P4(config)# router rip
    P4(config-router)#neighbor 192.168.10.3
    P4(Config-router)#passive-interface fa0/0

    why B is correct here?if we make f0/0 passive,it will not send updates to both p1 and p3 or
    may be….
    if we configure p1 as neighbor so it will form neighbor relation to p1 but for p3 it will be passive interface…

    am i getting it right
    please help me if i am missing something here.thanks

    for redistribution sim,I am doing as following,but r1 is going through r2 to r4 not r2 to r3 and r4.please help me to see what I am doing wrong?I know for eigrp metric I put 100 for everything ,just following cbt nuggets ..does it matter to right correct bw,delay,load etc.because they all have adjacency with each other.

    router eigrp 100
    redistribute ospf 1 metric 100 100 100 100 100
    network 192.168.1.0
    network 192.168.2.0
    distance eigrp 90 105
    auto-summary
    !
    router ospf 1
    log-adjacency-changes
    redistribute eigrp 100
    redistribute eigrp 1 metric-type 1 subnets

    Some totally new questions I have got there.
