Question 7 for what I have read only support the following:

Only TCP and UDP Layer 4 protocols are supported for header translation.

So, since we already have verified all the choices within the question above, if there is another choice on the list, that would be the answer. It might be missing a layer 4 protocol on the list of choices. But, you will definitely see that question if you take the test this week.

@rnfl that is exactly the question I was referring to. Per my friend he got that question in the beginning of his exam.

Not sure where you got that question but, that is word for word from the test. Thx

@iseeip visit page 148 and you will get your answer. It’s a bit tiring to repost over again the same info.

    2. Which routing protocol searches for a better route through other autonomous systems to achieve convergence ?
    a. Link-state
    b. Hybrid
    c. Path vector
    d. Distance vector

    Why do we choose A

    @Routeontheway

Here is the MPP CoPP DND:

    CoPP:
+ Deals with protection against DOS attacks
    + Uses QoS
+ Assists with packet forwarding by decreasing the load on the control plane

    MPP:
    + Uses one single command
    + Management traffic
+ One interface (or more) can be designated

    @Anonymous

Actually answer is ‘C’ path vector since it is only EGP from list.

From white paper: Dynamic routes are learned by a routing protocol. Routing protocols can be classified into two categories: interior and exterior. Interior routing protocols learn about routes and route packets within an autonomous system (AS). Exterior routing protocols learn about routes and route packets between autonomous systems.

    @Bowser

OSPF is link-state and can also route through different AS so C is not correct

Just a quick break from studying. What’s everyone’s next test? Are you doing Route first then all “down hill from there or did Switch then Route and looking forward to T-Shoot?

  42. Mario
    June 20th, 2018

@syn for what I hear the route test is harder than switch. Tshoot is the easiest of all 3. I have another coleague that took switch last week and said that it was pretty easy and another that the written ccie is easier than the route, switch and tshoot. Go figure..

@Syn Switch will be next, then Tshoot, then CCIE Written

    @ Mario,

Thank you for all your research. I can confirm what you have been finding is right on the money.

Just some info on Stateful NAT64:

    1:N translation

    Conserves IPv4 address

Uses address overloading, hence lacks in end-to-end address transparency

State or bindings are created on every unique translation

No requirement on the nature of IPv6 address assignment

Free to choose any mode of IPv6 address assignment viz. Manual, DHCPv6, SLAAC

I’ve already done Switch. To me the Labs were harder. Hopefully Route will be completed tomorrow and T-Shoot will be next.

Might go back and do CCNA Data Center. Might go CCIE written……who knows.

This is what I could find in regards to the VPN/VRP IPv4/IPv6 question:

Single-Protocol VRF to Multiprotocol VRF Migration
Prior to the introduction of the MPLS VPN VRF CLI for IPv4 and IPv6 VPNs feature, you could create a single-protocol IPv4-only virtual routing and forwarding (VRF) instance. You created a single-protocol VRF by entering the ip vrf command. To activate the single-protocol VRF on an interface, you entered the ip vrf forwarding (interface configuration) command.

After the introduction of the MPLS VPN VRF CLI for IPv4 and IPv6 VPNs feature, you create a multiprotocol VRF by entering the vrf definition command. To activate the multiprotocol VRF on an interface, you enter the vrf forwarding command.

New questions Plz help me with the answers
    1) A question about MSCHAP2 comparision with traditinal chap some options:
    a) MSCHAP2 requires MD5 authentication (?),
    b) MSCHAP2 maintained with three way handshake (definetly not, traditional CHAP also use 3way handshake)..,
    c) MSCHAP2 can be maintained on time based password..

    2) Which options mitigate layer 3 routing loop ( select three)..
    a) something with network tag definiton,
    b) offset definition
    c)prefix-list configuration
    d) distribute-list configuration
    e) (I dont remember)
    a,b,d but not sure..

Which two features ara added in MSCHAP Version 2
    a. Backwards-compatibility with MSCHAP version 1
    b. Using the MD5 hash for stronger security
    c. Ability to change an expired password
    d. using 3 way handshakes for authentication
    e. mutual authentication between peers

    i think A&E
