Share your ENCOR v1.2 Experience

Just pass today. It’s true that there’s a lot of questions. I honestly just guess the answers more than half of the multiple choice questions. The good thing is I manage to complete the labs perfectly so I suggest focus more on the labs and understand the concept and do not just memorized it. I used EVE-NG and this helps me master the labs.
Labs:
– acl & copp simulation (ssh)
– vrf configuration sim 2 (vrf finance)
– lacp & root bridge – LACP based on 2 ports, no shutdown, no switchport access vlan
– ebgp neighbor sim 2 (using address family)
– ospf summarization 2 – network and advertise /17
– netflow sim – udp 2055 + exporter

Passed my exam today. Like others, 6 labs in the beginning.
– Access-list & CoPP Sim (Permit OSPF, Telnet for CoPP)
– VRF Configuration Sim (VRF CORP)
– LACP & Root Bridge Sim
– eBGP Neighbor Sim 2 (using Address Family, Advertise all networks incl 3 Loopbacks)
– OSPF Summarization Sim (Use Interface command and summarized route /16)
– NetFlow Sim 2 (ICMP)

And 59 questions out of which 15–20% were new.

mostly 1.2 and others are found in 1.1

What is the purpose of ‘no shutdown’ and ‘switchport access vlan’ commands in the LACP & root bridge lab? I don’t see them in the lab.

In LACP and root bridge sim the the portchannel isn’t coming up, reason is the port is shutdown and it is configured as switchoprt access vlan 21 so you need to unshut and removed the initial config of the interfaces before doing the portchannel config

I passed the exam today, let me tell you there were 10-15 new questions about network automation, sd wan etc.
But if you understand the labs and part 7 well, I think you can pass the exam.

can you use auto complete tab in exam ?

Will i get access to all actual ENCOR labs if i get a premium membership?

i just passed yesterday evening (27/7/2025), yes you can use tab in the exam. it works, even ? works with minimum list of cli commands. labs are all same but not identical as the AS number, router number and the design are rotated and instead of R10 it become R1 and some cases the configuration changed instead of config R20 you need to config R20.

if can please verify at the end please verify 1 time as mentioned in the Simulator. cos some cases you enter the command but its not capture.. its missing in sh run.

@MorganFreeMango, yes you will get all labs to practice on the website or via EVE NG. They will share the procedure.

@digitaltut please reply, when will your Practice Multiple Questions and LABS (online simulator) will be back? maybe just the reviewer (MCQ v1.2 Part 1 to Part 7 and the LABS) please

Sims all good. Only difference I recall was ‘NetFlow Sim 2’ had to configure flow exporter, not use the flow monitor. Had to add ‘destination ‘ in flow exporter.

About 60-70% of the multiple choice questions were from ENCOR v1.2 questions. At least a couple were from v1.1.

At some point I felt I coudn´t pass due to the new automation questions( around 15) but at the end everything was ok , I recommend to practice the labs which are the most important and QuestionsV1.2 are enough.

– only studied v1.2 parts 1-7 + labs (all of them just in case)
– labs are the exact six everyone is posting about, spent over an hour here and they all come first randomly, just memorize these right before starting.
– very little DD, maybe 5 at most.
– MCQ just like everyone is saying, there are new ones but if you MURDER THE LABS, you will be fine.
– note, mostly new SDA \ SDW stuff with 1-2 new JSON, but who cares
– finished with only 1mins on the clock, buzzer beater

All those 6 lablets everyone mentioned. You start with those 6 labs first. Pace yourself to leave enough time for multiple choice questions.
I have gotten 6 to 8 questions regarding aaa, around 15 questions on SDN (SD-Access/SD_WAN)
1 regarding old technology VSS(CAT 6500 switches), few questions on wireless, around 10 on automation (script formation drag and drop, correct Jason format, EEM) the rest onesies and twosies on security AMP, next gen Firewall, virtualizations and etc (type 1 type2)

Material I used: only studied v1.2 parts 1-7 + labs

Is any wireless questions are appearing in Ccnp encor v1.2 exam.

@Sai – I think I got two or three wireless questions.

I have just passed.
Got the 6 labs like everyone has been pointing out.

There were maybe 15-20 questions that i did not see on v1.2, maybe they are in v1.1 as i never went over any of those questions.

Took the exam yesterday.

All those 6 labs are same. I targeted 10 min for each labs. that leave enough time for 53 questions. around 10 new questions were there.

– How many ACLs do you need to create? one for http and other one for ssh?

Hello guys. yesterday I passed the exam, 15 or 18 new questions. Same 6 labs, reed carefully the instructions. Study the questions from v1.2 over and over and understand them; the new ones are similar to those in the question bank. Thanks Digitaltut! see you in 3 years jeje

@Peruvian Congrats to you! my exam scheduled for a next week and im so nervous! about the 6 labs you mentioned, is everything same or I will face a different version of it in my exam? did you start with labs or it was in middle of a multiple choice questions? how many D&D thanks again!

@Maria 6 labs are the same! just read carefully the tasks, the labs are the first 6 questions, dont remember how many D&D, but as I mentioned, read the question bank v1.2, and note the questions you should read again to memorize them.

I have passed the exam.

Got the same labs as everyone mentioned.
However, I felt like 40% of the MCQ questions are new!
those new questions can be answered if you understand the questions in part 1 – 7 , rather than just memorizing them.

Passed this morning. My recommendation besides practicing the 1.2 Parts 1-7 is to have an understanding of the concepts. Thank you to DigitalTut for the content!

There were quite a few new or different questions. I remember a D&D about VSS, a D&D with EEM different than here, couple of new D&D with JSON/Automation, some new AAA questions but most will be familiar to you from 1.2 Parts.

Labs are the 6 as noted by everyone. Good luck to all.

Took exam yesterday and failed.

Seemed to do mediocre based off score report.

Labs were same as reported, and I may have missed a few things that ultimately brought down my score.

MC’s I had were about half of what I encountered here so far, but I have only been going through them for a few days in segments of 25 prior to taking the exam.

Will take again in a week or 2..

guys that passed congrats first i want to ask about the questions were they identical outside of those 15% that werent

access-list 100 permit tcp 192.168.24.0 0.0.0.255 any eq 22

The command was accepted by the lab simulator, but when I did “show run” it showed

access-list 100 permit tcp 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.255 any eq 22

What could be the reason for this?

Take your time for the exam.. even with the content available here you need to grasp the concepts, patience is key. Start early so you have no pressure.
