You do need to know the information though. Don’t just study the questions because then you won’t pass. Know the information and material, but use the questions as a guide.

I failed today. Something like a 759. I can tell you that I studied the dexter vce / pdf inside and out an had it down. there were many questions that I’ve never seen before. I was really surprised.

I wasn’t able to write down exact questions, but here are some things I jotted down. Things that I know if I study up on in the actual book I can pass. There were many questions closely related to the ones I’ve seen on here, but not exactly. The Sims were exactly the same, the same one that were on this when I passed back in 2011-12ish. So strange that all this new stuff is on the test but the old sims are the same. I EIGRP stub, PBR, and OSPF.

DHCP Relay stuff
LMI, there was an entire D&D that I had not seen before, all about LMI
DMVP, EasyVPN
VRF, vrf-lite

There was a BGP question I’ve never seen before. I will describe it in such a way that you could draw it on paper.
There were three routers left to right. The middle one was R1, the routers to the left and right had no names. I will call them the first, second and third routers (R1 being the 2nd because it is in the middle)
The first router and was in one autonomous system (lets call it AS 000001, the second router (R1)was in the same AS but was the border router. It was connected by two separate links to the third router which was in a different AS, let’s call it AS 000002.
The config snippet was the BGP config. I remember that it had two separate neighbor commands:

neighbor remote-as 000001
set active (or something like that)
neighbor remote-as 000002
set active (or something like that

there were a couple more commands I think. Anyway, the questio asked why the neighbor relationship with R2 didn’t come up (again, I wasn’t clever enough to know for sure which one was R2), why.

There was a multihop anser choice
two others
and the one I chose was: “disable synchronization” or enter no synchronize or something like that”
It’s been 7 years since I took this test but I do remember synchronization is something important relate to a bgp router learning IGP updates…and since this router had a ibgp peer as wall as an ebgp peer…I figured….

Anyway, some other notes:

NATv6 / NAT64 / lots of stuff, make sure you know the details of these…this stuff is in the dumps, but I had a hard time keeping it all straight from the dumps, its new stuff since I last tested. I got back today and opened up the CCNP Official Cert Guide an started reading chapter one two and three, and bam, it’s like that chapter was created to address all the stuf that was added in v2. All kinds of things were jumpiint out at me: “wow, that was on the test….and that was on the test” etc. So, take some time to read this…IPV6

Duplicate Address Detection
DMVPN / GRE / Ipse
Stateless Auto config

CEF – know how it works and about adj and FIB
Router Solicitation – For IPV6 Addressing
AND just after reading these chapters I realized I thought Router Solicitation IPV6 addressing was the same topic as:

Neighbor Solitation / Neigbor Advertisement — – nope — it’s related to Duplicate Address Detection, so I missed a couple there because I didn’t read.

Also, after reading I realize that the dumps had me thinking that Easy Virtual Networks and Easy VPN were somehome the same things…so dumb. EVN EVPN…lo

Know about Easy VPN and that it’s not related to Easy Virtual Network….duh.

ICMPv3, yes there were lots of questions in the dumps, but I feel like the ones today were a little different, and if I had just read about SNMP once I would have gotten it.

The other D&D was….I can’t remember.

Anyway, I think if I run through the Official Certification Guide one time with a highligher, then go over the notes, that combined with the dumps here, I’m good.

It seems the braindump scene has changed alot since I last remember years ago.

When people say the 477q dump is valid, what dump are they referring to and where to get it? 477q is very vague; could you please elaborate?

Were they trying to make adjacency between the routers on the loopback address?

It’s hard to figure out which is the right answer if we do not know exactly which router R2 is … But if the routers are in the same AS, then the correct answer would be A. If they are eBGP peers, then that is Answer B.

A question to the current group discussing here and posting recently. Which of the resources that we’ve been discussing do you think, currently is the best one to focus on, there’s been dexter, the 477 pdf, and 149q vce from 2016, etc. Which are you focussing on now.

Hello again! I’m not passed 300-101 yet, just learning. I compared three dumps (digitut (jan), dexter (jan) and 477Q) and came to the some conclusion about 477Q. First, it has a MANY mistakes. Second, they are made DELIBERATELY. I guess there about 7-8% incorrect answers. Another one conclusion about 477Q – it has many questions just for solidity. Many questions looks like came from another courses, like CCNA, for example. You can save your time if you will start from “Dexter” and then just review an additional questions in 477Q. DO NOT USE 477Q as your PRIMARY dump.

@asdf it can’t be C and E at the same time IMO. If you do not use “subnets” at the end of the redistribution command redistribute eigrp 65535 , E applies. Eigrp has the “no auto-summary”, you will not receive routes.
OCG:
RD1(config)# router ospf 2
RD1(config-router)# redistribute eigrp 1
% Only classful networks will be redistributed

The other answer could it be A, by default ospf add external routes as E2 metric 20. B could it be too, if you have a loopback in up/up before the start of the proccess for eigrp and ospf, they will take the loopb ip address.

477Q was corrected as much as possible within last 2 months and people that actually took the exam confirmed that it’s valid, so that’s that

477 q have 70% and i learned in china dump

477 dumps include some wrong answer
