Which task must you perform to enable a point-to-point Frame Relay connection?
    A. Enable inverse ARP.
    B. Configure qathe encapsulation type.
    C. Configure static address mapping.
    D. Disable inverse ARP

    B or C?

Point-to-point subinterface – With point-to-point subinterfaces, each pair of routers has its own subnet. If you put the PVC on a point-to-point subinterface, the router assumes that there is only one point-to-point PVC configured on the subinterface. Therefore, any IP packets with a destination IP address in the same subnet are forwarded on this VC. This is the simplest way to configure the mapping and is therefore the recommended method. Use the frame-relay interface-dlci command to assign a DLCI to a specified Frame Relay subinterface.

Multipoint networks – Multipoint networks have three or more routers in the same subnet. If you put the PVC in a point-to-multaipoint subinterface or in the main interface (which is multipoint by default), you need to either configure a static mapping or enable inverse Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) for dynamic mapping.

I think answer is “configure encapsulation type” .

What is the function of the snmp-server enable traps and snmp-server host 192.168.1.3 trap version 1c public commands?
    A. to allow only 192.168.1.3 to access the system using the community-string public
    B. to allow private communications between the router and the host.
    C. to collect information about the system on a network management server
    D. to disable all SNMP informs that are on the system

    Correct Answer: C

    Hi all,

Why the answer is C? It must be A.

snmp-server host 192.168.1.3, this command specifies the address of snmp-server. So snmp server address must be 192.168.1.3 to collect snmp messages from router. And as you see community string is public.

I doubt in “allow” . they made it look like an access-list.

Can you help me with below question?

Using new backup router in spite of faulty one in OSPF domain but relationship with neighbor in one interface only not working, what is the reason of this problem? (Choose two)

    A. area ID mismatch
    B. authentication mismatch
    C. process id of OSPF not match
    D. OSPF timers not match

there are three answers but the question states to choose two. Would it be AB, AD, BD? Or can you suggest how you answer this question? Thank you in advance

passed two days ago…July/October pdfs valid
new question about route map and default next-hop, referenced to ACL with two host addresses, question is about what comes first routing table or ACL check (policy based routing, maybe)…
rest of Qs: cef fwrd tables, ntp (UDP 123 port, stratum/master, tacacs/radius, evn,…)
    D&D: multipoint FR commands (A, B, C, D); radius/AAA (if-aunthenticated, none, local,…)
    Labs: EIGRP SIM, OSPF IPv6;

    October 14th, 2019

@frk my assumption is that “snmp-server host x.x.x.x trap” means that the agent is sending to the management system. Option A states access to the system using community string but config from sending does not equal access….

    A. area ID mismatch
    B. authentication mismatch
    C. process id of OSPF not match
    D. OSPF timers not match

Also this question is a big problem? many people says answer is A B and D. I have an explanation.

if all neighbors work and only one doesn’t , it is about the interface config i think. in ospf we are configure authentication and ospf timers on interface level.

ip ospf hello-interval, ip ospf dead-interval, and ip ospf authentication-key interface configuration commands.

    I think it’s B and D.

    What you guys thinking??

When an OSPF design is planned, which implementation can help a router not have memory
    resource issues?
    A. Have a backbone area (area 0) with 40 routers and use default routes to reach external
    destinations.
    B. Have a backbone area (area 0) with 4 routers and 30,000 external routes injected into
    OSPF.
    C. Have less OSPF areas to reduce the need for interarea route summarizations.
    D. Have multiple OSPF processes on each OSPF router. Example, router ospf 1, router ospf 2

The answer is A, but I see somewhere that the answer is D, because Memory issues usually come up when too many external routes are injected in the OSPF domain,
    Anybodyknows the correct answer?

    Hi
Anonymous, what do you mean by Labs: EIGRP SIM ? Is it the EIGRP Simlet? or EIGRP /OSPF redistribute?

  17. ospff
    October 14th, 2019

    @gtk

    Found this from Cisco:

“A backbone area with 40 routers and a default route to the outside world would have less memory issues compared with a backbone area with 4 routers and 33,000 external routes injected into OSPF. ”

So I’m going with A. B is clearly referenced as wrong by Cisco. C is wrong because summarizations are a good thing. And D doesn’t make sense because creating another ospf process does nothing to the amount of memory the routes & LSAs take up in the router.

    October 14th, 2019

    @frk

I am guessing it should be A and B. OSPF timers not match (literally not mentioned hello-interval or dead-interval) or config was not displayed for us to justify? Anyway, appreciate your suggestion.

    Can anyone check this too:

In which scenario can asymmetric routing occur?
    A. active/active firewall setup
    B. single path in and out of the network.
    C. active/standby firewall setup
    D. redundant routers running VRRP

Dumps states D. But most likely happening on Active/Active Firewall setup.

the quest about bgp path selection.

In bgp enviroment we need to go from top to bottom.

    Weight

    Local preference

    AS-PATH length

    Origin

    MED

We dont have weight and local pref,we know only “AS”s. so we have to go with AS-PATH length.

I passed with score 8XX today.

Honestly, The Most Popular and New Update 5&6 from here just are valid about 80%. I was very worried.

As far as I can remember. I found the new question are as follows:
–> New single & multiple about 7 to 10 questions.
–> New drag & drop 2 question. (SNMP and …)
–> All new labs (I mean all labs that use the same diagrams but, all vaules of the labs change.) I found the IPv6 OSPF, IPv4 EIGRP, IPv4 OSPF and EIGRP simlet (EIGRP simlet has a bug. You should be careful).

Wish you the best of luck !!

There or 4 questions I did not see in the pdf but they are easy.
One new question was about the TCP MSS what defines the value, the host sender o the host receiver …

D&D are all in the pdf.
    Labs were
    Ospfv6 virtual link
    Ospf
    Eigrp
Just as others mentioned in previous comments.

In case anyone is wondering about the TCP MSS question given by @AN above,

When a host (usually a PC) initiates a TCP session with a server, it negotiates the IP segment size by using
the MSS option field in the TCP SYN packet. The value of the MSS field is determined by the MTU
configuration on the host. The default MSS value for a PC is 1500 bytes

I clearly stated that I answer C for this as both of them needs to have the encapsulation type. Only for Point-to-point needs to have the static mapping.:

The frame-relay map protocol protocol-address dlci [broadcast] [ietf | cisco] configuration command in the interface or multipoint subinterface configuration mode is used to supply a static mapping of the specified next hop protocol address to a specified local DLCI.
