    Is it fair to assume learning all the COMPOSITE quiz (all 15 of them) from this website will be adequate to pass ??

    thanks to 2604
    so DHCP scope 82 – additional security used on untrusted sources

    SNMP traps vs SNMP informs – both are almost same, with informs we have nothing more than acknowledgement

    Limitation of RIPV2 when deploy in a supernets network – here i am not sure , RIPv2 is classless , supernets are classfull so can they be advertised in RIPv2 ?

    Is it fair to assume the labs in the exam will still be the EIGRP-OSPF Redistribution, PBR & OSPF Evaluation ??

    I think YourMom mentioned it’ll just be those 3 in one of the previous pages.

    The compositive quiz part says “We have 15 composite quizzes currently, each comprises of 50 questions of all topics of CCNP ROUTE 300-101. If you can pass all of them then congratulation, you have full knowledge for the new ROUTE exam.”
    But then other people on here commenting, saying to do the Most Popular Questions (MPQ).

    This is confusing. I think one should be taken off if the other is more appropriate.

    So what do we do, Composite or MPQ ?? Because they seem to overlap.

    and I just finished painstakingly done the composites. All 15 of them. Would that be ok to pass the exam (along with labs ofcourse) or am I being misled ??

    @Jack

    First of all where did u get this question ? cisco IOS v 15.6 reveals the following option with context help in real cisco router..

    R1(config)#ip dhcp relay information ?
    check Validate relay information in BOOTREPLY
    option Insert relay information in BOOTREQUEST
    policy Define reforwarding policy
    trust-all Received DHCP packets may contain relay info option with zero
    giaddr
    ———————————————————–

    R1(config)#ip dhcp relay information option ?
    vpn Insert VPN sub-options and change the giaddr to the outgoing interface

    In the following example, the DHCP relay receives a DHCP request on ethernet 0/1 and sends the request to the DHCP server located at IP helper address 10.44.23.7, which is associated with the VRF named “red”.

    ip dhcp relay information option vpn
    interface ethernet 0/1
    ip helper-address vrf red 10.44.23.7

    your options are correct. let me know where did you find it ? which dump site ?

    Which scenario can asymmetric routing occur?

    A -> active/active firewall
    B -> single path in and out of network
    C -> active/stadby firewall
    D -> redundant routers using vrrp

    Some say answer is A and others D, please help with this question

    Which protocol will stop listening and advertising updates, when using passive-interface command.
    A. OSPF
    B. EIGRP
    C. BGP
    D. RIP
    E. IS-IS
    Answer: A and B

    Explanation:
    Passive-interface command is used in all routing protocols to disable sending updates out from a specific interface. However the command behavior varies from one protocol to another.

    In RIP this command will disable sending multicast updates via a specific interface but will allow listening to incoming updates from other RIP speaking neighbors. This simply means that the router will still be able to receive updates on that passive interface and use them in the routing table.

    In EIGRP the passive-interface command stops sending outgoing hello packets, hence the router can not form any neighbor relationship via the passive interface. This behavior stops both outgoing and incoming routing updates.

    In OSPF the passive-interface has a similar behavior to EIGRP. The command suppresses hello packets and hence neighbor relationships.

    What type of address OSPFv3 uses to form adjacency and send updates?
    A FF02::5
    B link-local
    C IPv4 address
    D IPv6 address multicast

    Correct Answer: A (same if converted as 224.0.0.5 ipv4 multicast for OSPF DR router)

    Company is deploying a multicast application that must be accessible between sites, but must not be accessible outside of the organization. Based on the scoping requirements, the multicast group address for the application will be allocated out of which range?

    A) FF02:/16
    B) FF0E:/16
    C) FF00:/16
    D) FF08:/16

    Answer: I agree with D)FF08:/16 – Organization scope: Intended to span multiple sizes within the same organization

    @macking
    Ospfv3 doesn’t work the way the ipv4 works. It alway uses link local address to send updates and notifications.
    When i lab it up with real gears it only use ff0::5 for to find the ospf speaking neighbors after that it always uses link local address to send updates (question sending updates). Even cisco literatures says so.
    I would select the link local address. We can not interprete the ospv4 into ospfv3 since it behave differently

  43. Macking
    May 13th, 2019

    @Saji, I did not mean they work the same way. It is my way of remembering that :5 in ospfv3 is the same .5 in ospf. Just the Hex number is the same as the last octet on the multicast IPv4.

    OSPFv2 and OSPFv3 both have the same protocol number of 89, although OSPFv3, being an IPv6 protocol, more accurately has a Next Header value of 89. And like OSPFv2, OSPFv3 uses multicast whenever possible. The IPv6 AllSPFRouters multicast address is FF02::5, and the AllDRouters multicast address is FF02::6.
