    QUESTION 537
In which two areas does OSPF send a summary route by default ?
    A. NSSA
    B. Backbone
    C. Totally stubby
    D. Stub
    E. Normal
    Correct Answer: CD!!!

    QUESTION 404
Which technology is required on an EVN trunk interface?
    A. 802.1q
    B. NAT
    C. VRF-Lite
    D. IS-IS
    Correct Answer: A!!!

“EVN is supported on any interface that supports 802.1q encapsulation, for example, an Ethernet interface. Instead of adding a new field to carry the VNET tag in a packet, the VLAN ID field in 802.1q is repurposed to carry a VNET tag.”

    QUESTION 538
Which LAN feature enables a default gateway to inform its end devices when a better path to a destination is available ?
    A. HSRP
    B. ICMP unreachable messages
    C. ICMP redirects
    D. Proxy ARP
    Correct Answer: C!!!!
    Section: Networking

    Description

The gateway sends a redirect message to a host in the following
situation. A gateway, G1, receives an internet datagram from a
host on a network to which the gateway is attached. The gateway,
G1, checks its routing table and obtains the address of the next
gateway, G2, on the route to the datagram’s internet destination
network, X. If G2 and the host identified by the internet source
address of the datagram are on the same network, a redirect
message is sent to the host. The redirect message advises the
host to send its traffic for network X directly to gateway G2 as
this is a shorter path to the destination. The gateway forwards
the original datagram’s data to its internet destination.

    QUESTION 613
When OSPF is forming an adjacency, in which state does the actual exchange of the information in the link-state databse occur?
    A. INIT
    B. Exstart
    C. Loading
    D. Exchange

    Answer: C!!!!

    Loading

In this state, the actual exchange of link state information occurs. Based on the information provided by the DBDs, routers send link-state request packets. The neighbor then provides the requested link-state information in link-state update packets. During the adjacency, if a router receives an outdated or missing LSA, it requests that LSA by sending a link-state request packet. All link-state update packets are acknowledged.

Question 641 – I have already posted about that question above.

    QUESTION 648
Which OSPF network type uses a DR?
    A. Nonbroadcast multi-access
    B. point-to-point
    C. point-to-multipoint
    D. point-to-point nonbroadcast
    Correct Answer: A!!

“We only use a DR/BDR on a multi-access network. There is no need to do this on a pointto-
point link like a PPP connection.”

    QUESTION 700
Company is deploying a multicast applic ation that must be accessible between sites, but must not be accessible outside of the organization
    Based on
    A. FF00:/16
    B. FFOE:/16
    C. FF02:/16
    D. FF08:/16
    Correct Answer: D!!!

    Propagation delay
    Serialization delay

    Explanation:

    The Many Components of Latency
    .
    .
    .
    Propagation delay
Amount of time required for a message to travel from the sender to receiver, which is a function of distance over speed with which the signal propagates.

    Transmission delay
Amount of time required to push all the packet’s bits into the link, which is a function of the packet’s length and data rate of the link.

    Processing delay
Amount of time required to process the packet header, check for bit-level errors, and determine the packet’s destination.

    Queuing delay
Amount of time the packet is waiting in the queue until it can be processed.

    https: // hpbn.co/primer-on-latency-and-bandwidth/

    Q643:
    Choose two…
    Only allowed to select one.

    Q649
    VLAN is shutdown
    Security Violations
It is a security violation when one of these situations occurs:
•The maximum number of secure MAC addresses have been added to the address table, and a station whose MAC address is not in the address table attempts to access the interface.
    .
    .
You can configure the interface for one of three violation modes, based on the action to be taken if a violation occurs:
    .
    .
•shutdown vlan—Use to set the security violation mode per-VLAN. In this mode, the VLAN is error disabled instead of the entire port when a violation occurs

    Q666
    Coorect answer – Variance 3

    Q669
Use RADIUS in the following network environments that require access security:

Networks with multiple-vendor access servers, each supporting RADIUS. For example, access servers from several vendors use a single RADIUS server-based security database. In an IP-based network with multiple vendors’ access servers, dial-in users are authenticated through a RADIUS server that has been customized to work with the Kerberos security system.
Turnkey network security environments in which applications support the RADIUS protocol, such as in an access environment that uses a “smart card” access control system. In one case, RADIUS has been used with Enigma’s security cards to validate users and grant access to network resources.
Networks already using RADIUS. You can add a Cisco router with RADIUS to the network. This might be the first step when you make a transition to a Terminal Access Controller Access Control System Plus (TACACS+) server.
Networks in which a user must only access a single service. Using RADIUS, you can control user access to a single host, to a single utility such as Telnet, or to a single protocol such as Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP). For example, when a user logs in, RADIUS identifies this user as having authorization to run PPP using IP address 10.2.3.4 and the defined access list is started.
Networks that require resource accounting. You can use RADIUS accounting independent of RADIUS authentication or authorization. The RADIUS accounting functions allow data to be sent at the start and end of services, indicating the amount of resources (such as time, packets, bytes, and so on) used during the session. An Internet service provider (ISP) might use a freeware-based version of RADIUS access control and accounting software to meet special security and billing needs.
Networks that wish to support preauthentication. Using the RADIUS server in your network, you can configure AAA preauthentication and set up the preauthentication profiles. Preauthentication enables service providers to better manage ports using their existing RADIUS solutions, and to efficiently manage the use of shared resources to offer differing service-level agreements.
RADIUS is not suitable in the following network security situations:

Multiprotocol access environments. RADIUS does not support the following protocols:
    – AppleTalk Remote Access (ARA)

    – NetBIOS Frame Control Protocol (NBFCP)

    – NetWare Asynchronous Services Interface (NASI)

    – X.25 PAD connections

Router-to-router situations. RADIUS does not provide two-way authentication. RADIUS can be used to authenticate from one router to a non-Cisco router if the non-Cisco router requires RADIUS authentication.
Networks using a variety of services. RADIUS generally binds a user to one service model.

    Q700
    Correct should be: ff08::

    Explanation:
    Prefix Scope
ff02:: Link Local: spans the same topological region as the corresponding unicast scope, i.e. all nodes on the same LAN.
ff05:: Site local: is intended to span a single site
ff08:: Organization scope: Intended to span multiple sizes within the same organization
ff0e:: Global scope, assigned by IANA.
ff01:: Interface local: Spans only a single interface on a node and is useful only for loopback transmission of multicast.

    Q709
    Answer is correct
    Explanation:
Caution If neither the enable password command nor the enable secret command is configured, and if there is a line password configured for the console, the console line password will serve as the enable password for all VTY (Telnet and Secure Shell [SSH]) sessions.

Hi, i wanted to know this question:

Q: what happends when unicast flood protection is triggered on a vlan
    A The VLAN is shutdown
B Traffic on the VLAN is load-balanced across multiple links
C The VLAN is removed from the VLAN database
D Traffic on the VLAN is passed to another VLAN with lower load

The “D” is marked as correct but that’s not possible, the only actions of unicast flooding protection are: syslog, shutdown or limit. Not load balance.

    https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/switches/catalyst-6000-series-switches/23563-143.html

    Hello guys,

    Regarding the following question:

    QUESTION 537
In which two areas does OSPF send a summary route by default ?
    A. NSSA
    B. Backbone
    C. Totally stubby
    D. Stub
    E. Normal
    Correct Answer: DE

    Correct Answers should be BD!!!
I overlooked the question the previous time when i said its CD. Summary route means LSA type 3 message. We know that Totally Stubby Area rejects Interarea and External routes instead it installs a default route. Interarea routes are normally injected with LSA type 3 within the other areas.

    @Anonymous01

    Q 537
the correct answer is CD. becz of only ABR or ASBR are sent the summary route. that why the answer is Stub and Totally stub. only ABR( boarder) router can configure as the Totally stub area router. it will inject Type 5 and type 3 to ( you can’t see OIA, OE2 ) ONLY SEE O*IA.

That why correct answer: stub area and totally stubby area.

    if I wrong, correct me.

    thanks.
