    Hello All,

    I just passed the exam 20min ago. make sure you study well.

    labs : EIGRP Stub sim, OSPF sim, EIGRP Evaluation sim. all same as in this website.
    DnD: new AAA, Copp, IPv6 fillter, Frame Relay configuration interface, and maybe more.
    other questions most are from Route_ DEC_2018 pdf in this web site, but many questions were new on uRPF, SNMP, EVN, FR – study well not just dumps. you have to understand the concepts.

    Good luck to all.

    A lot of confusion on the below. What is the correct? According documentations:
    FF01::/16 -> IPv6 prefix for a node-local multicast
    FF02::/16 -> IPv6 prefix for a link-local multicast
    FF08::/16 -> IPv6 prefix for a organization-local multicast

    Question:
    Company is deploying a multicast application that must be accessible between sites, but must not be accessible outside of the organization. Based on the scoping requirements, the multicast group address for the application will be allocated out of which range?
    A. FF00:/16
    B. FF0E:/16
    C. FF02:/16
    D. FF08:/16

    C or D and why ????????????????????????

    @ZeRo__CooL D. because ff08 is site-local, you can’t use it globally, but only within your organization.
    ffo2 is used between directly connected devices. It can’t be used to access device at site B if you are in site A.

    December 30th, 2018

    @ZeRo__CooL D what @chinaski explain was correct if you want detailed documentation pls refer to

    https ://tools .ietf.org/html/ rfc4291

    Link-Local multicast scope spans the same topological region as the corresponding unicast scope.

    Organization-Local scope is intended to span multiple sites belonging to a single organization.

    Please what does it mean, i don t understand at all??

    You should not spend more than 15 minutes for each sim. Recall that you only have 90 minutes so if you spend 15 minutes for each sim x 4 sims = 60 minutes. The 30 minutes left is for solving 46 multiple choice & drag-and-drop questions. If you are not a native English speaker and have 30-minute expansion (ask the mentor to confirm) than you can spend 20 minutes for each sim.

    Which two statements about ICMP unreachable messages are true? (Choose two)

    A. They are sent when a route to the destination is missing from the routing table
    B. They can be enabled and disabled on a device only on a global level
    C. They are sent when a destination address responds to an ARP request
    D. They include the entire packet so that the source can identify the process that generated the message
    E. They include a portion of the original data so that the source can identify the process that generated the message

    Answer: A C
    My answer A E

    95% of the questions were from here, almost all of the questions were from New Updated Questions – Part 5 section and the Most Popular Question section.

    Just pay 15 bucks for Premium and you got all you need, even the labs you can practice with the GUI based, nothing to compare with the 300 you loose when failing the test.

    D&D I can remember was the; loose/strict, NAT 4 steps

  40. Question: IPv6 OSPF Virtual Link Sim
    January 3rd, 2019

    Had the lab IPv6 OSPF Virtual Link Sim, but the strange part is: R1, R2, R3 and R4 ethernet interfaces were configured with ipv6 addresses, however, the Serial interfaces between R2 & R3 are configured only with ipv4 addresses, not ipv6. I tried configuring ipv6 autoconfig on the serial interfaces, but it wouldn’t take the command. Did anyone else notice that the Serial interfaces were using ipv4 addresses? Looking at the configs I did not notice any type of translation being used between ipv4 and ipv6.

    Question: IPv6 OSPF Virtual Link Sim
    I supposed lab was working like at digitaltut page, but you notice that.
    ipv6 autoconfig on serial does nothing because invoke SLAAC and expect message RA. But both interface of R2 and R3 are configured with ipv6 autoconfig.
    Because you did not give us more details, i make that supposition and that mean ipv6 was enabled on serial interfaces.
    Regarding translation, that can be done with NAT64 and that need prefix allocation (stateless or statefull) and you did not see any global ipv6 in the configuration.
    Please confirm lab was OK and you see “ipv6 enable” on serial interfaces and not ipv6 add autoconfig

    Passed my 300-101 with 9xx/1000.
    Sims were OSPF, EIGRP stub, EIGRP eval all exactly the same just other addressing and names and AS and area numbers.
    I had a big DnD where you have to match like 8 on 8 items where you have somthing about triple A and variants like auth-proxy, network, dont remember the rest.
    My impression is about 60% of questions are from new and most popular other 25% are from old questions here and 15% are completely new.
    So if you practice all questions on this site and all sims and can at least find out like shutdown interface you will pass.

  48. RE: IPv6 OSPF Virtual Link Sim
    January 3rd, 2019

    The lab did NOT work, but in hindsight, this may have only been due to the fact that while I removed the bad virtual command from R4, I forgot to remove it also from R3. I did a show run and the Serial interfaces had absolutely NO ipv6 address or ANY ipv6 configuration of ANY kind. Only ipv4 was configured on the serial interfaces and there was no NAT of any kind in the config. Since this is not a real ios, maybe if I had removed the bad virtual command (and added the correct one) it would have still worked, even if in the real world it wouldn’t. But I am still interested in knowing whether anyone else noticed that on this lab, while the goal was to see R4’s ipv6 loopback in R1’s ipv6 routing table (ipv6 addresses were configured on almost every interface, except there were NO ipv6 addresses configured between R2 and R3, only ipv4, did anyone notice this and did anyone still get this lab to work?

    RE: IPv6 OSPF Virtual Link Sim
    You said have not any “ANY ipv6 configuration of ANY kind”. That means on serial interfaces from R2 and R you not see commands like ipv6 ospf 1 area 11?
    Can you write exactly what you seen on serial interfaces from R2 and R3?
    You remove some ipv6 commands from serial interfaces by mistake?
    Previously you said you can’t configure ipv6 address autoconfig.
