If you configure one router in your network with the auto-cost reference-bandwidth 100 command, which effect on the data path is true?
    A. The data path remains the same for all links B. The data path changes for 10Mbps links only C. The data path changes for all links D. The data path changes for 10Gbps links only

    Answer: A or C ???

  12. Light
    January 12th, 2020

Hi all, just wondering if EIGRP OSPF Redistribution Sim has been taken out form Route exam ?

  13. AAA D&D
    January 12th, 2020

Everybody saying AAA D&D. Which D&D? There are several.

  14. ab
    January 12th, 2020

@light any sims can appear but since october been ospfv3 vl, ospf and eigrp eval

  15. MESR
    January 12th, 2020

@FOX, the correct is C. The data path changes for all links

this is a trick question, for sure if you do the auto-cost B command it will have an impact in OSPF, now if you have all link as FastEthernet of course will not be an impact as 100 mean 100 Mbps same as Fastethernet, but the question is not giving you details about link bandwidth/speed so, you could assume that there is a possibility that you have different links with different bandwidth, so the most appropriate asnwer will be C.

  16. ab
    January 12th, 2020

@fox @MESR i disagree im sorry the answer is A the reason i think this is

the auto-cost reference-bandwidth 100 is the default setting for ospf so it will stay the same :)

  17. MESR
    January 12th, 2020

@ab, I could agree with you, if the router have the default OSPF cost, but the question doesn’t mention it. I can say as well that the question doesn’t mention that the router is using a different cost.

I guess if we assume that the router have the default cost, the answer will be A. but in the other side, if the router is not using the default cost, the answer will be C.

  18. ab
    January 12th, 2020

    @MESR
i see where you are coming from but i think they are trying to catch you out on knowing the default setting just like the acl when 10 is default if they dont tell you i think they are going for the do they know the default. if they dont say i wouldnt assume.

I added Route LABs at mycertexam.com for Practice. Included supported GNS3 version,Router Image, Lab’s Project file and “how to do” video.

And yes. As always sharing is caring.

Find in the list “CCNP LABs” on the website.

Hey guys just wanted to reach and see if anyone could tell me what topics are being hit on the most in the test?

  38. @bootyJudy
    January 13th, 2020

All of the CCNP Blueprint has the potential to appear on the exam, rather than trying to study a specific topic(s) it would be best to have a solid understand of the entire blueprint. I know that sounds like a lot but I would strongly recommend paying for the premium version and get access to the full digitaltut site.

The premium version contains various topics, quizzes, and practice labs that will help you prep for the exam along with learn all the topic covered in the CCNP route blueprint.

By default what is the maximum number of equal metric path BGP uses for load balancing?

    A) 1
    B) 2
    C) 4
    D) 6

In the premium version answer is A but I dont know. HELP

  40. n00b
    January 13th, 2020

    @HOP-COUNT
Are you sure the answers you provided appeared on exam?
I saw question written this way:
By default what is the maximum number of equal metric path BGP uses for load balancing?
    A. 4 B. 6 C. 8 D. 16
    and referring to:
    https://www.cisco.com/c/m/en_us/techdoc/dc/reference/cli/nxos/commands/bgp/maximum-paths-bgp.html

Maybe this one you mentioned is referring to maximum path in MPLS VPN?
    https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios/12_2sx/feature/guide/fsxeibmp.html

  41. @HOP-COUNT
    January 13th, 2020

    The answer is A

By default BGP select 1 route as the best path, this is by design of the Path Vector routing protocol to only select the BEST path. BGP can support more than 1 path, that would not be the DEFAULT behavior.

Please feel free to review the Cisco doc below
    https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/ip/border-gateway-protocol-bgp/13753-25.html

    Hello
Please I’m planning to do my route exam before 20th February. I woud like to know if all the simulatios still valid and what is the latest dump?

  43. MESR
    January 13th, 2020

@HOP-COUNT @n00b the question say by default, so the default value after you enter the command: maximum-paths, is 8 but I found that there are actually two question, twith different options, se below:

    dy digitaltut:
By default what is the maximum number of equal metric path BGP uses for load balancing?
    A. 4 B. 6 C. 8 D. 16 asnwer: C

    by mycertexam site:
By default what is the maximum number of equal metric path BGP uses for load balancing?
    A. 1 B. 2 C. 4 D. 6 answer: A

so I I could say that based on the options both answer are correct.

  44. @Romail

6.Which adverse circumstance can the TTL feature prevent?
    A. routing loops
    B. DoS attacks
    C. link saturation
    D. CAM table overload

    Answer: A or B?

  46. Exam Prep
    January 13th, 2020

I would focus on completing all of the composite quizzes, the Most Popular Questions, Update 5 (including the few that are not in the java sim question format), and Update 6.

If you only do the most popular questions and the update 5/6 questions you will be missing a lot of questions and that could result in a low score.

  47. MESR
    January 13th, 2020

I just read on the official cert guide that correct is A

6.Which adverse circumstance can the TTL feature prevent?
    A. routing loops
    B. DoS attacks
    C. link saturation
    D. CAM table overload

    answer is: A

    A. Recieving host
    B. Receiving host’s gateway
    C. Sending host
    D. Sending host’s gateway

Is the answer C or D. Somebody above said D. I think it is C. “the host usaually a PC initiates a TCP session with server, it negotiates teh IP segment size by using the MSS option “
