    @sky

For question 23, there were many option proposed here.

Which tow commands must you configure in the calling router to support the PPPoE client? (Choose two)

First need to figure out whether this question ask about how to configure a router as a PPPoE client or PPPoE server.

If PPPoE client then the answer will be
    mtu
    pppoe-client dial-pool-number

If PPPoE server then the answer will be
    bba-group pppoe
    pppoe enable group

    Please share your thoughts.

THAT was my outcome.. make sure to understand the question guys

I am facing issue while configuring IPv6 OSPF virtual link sim as there is no pre-configured ipv6 OSPF in topology, downloaded from the link here for GNS3 labs

if i just want to practice configurations then router in topology c2691 yields error and does not allow even ipv6 unicast-routing command

    R1(config)#ipv6 unicast-routing

    HELP!!! HELP!!! HELP!!!

Can anyone help me with EIGRP OSPF Redistribute Sim ??

How to find out the EIGRP metrics when redistributing EIGRP to OSPF ?

Which interface do I have to look while choosing those values??

Digital tut has used two values :

    redistribute ospf 1 metric 1544 2000 255 1 1500

    AND

    redistribute ospf 1 metric 10000 100 255 1 1500

I am not sure where they used 1544 for bandwidth??

    Thank you..

    I need your help…

How did you find out the metrics of EIGRP in EIGRP-OSPF DISribution SIm?

    Thank you.

  7. CiscoTake
    November 11th, 2017

    @ ma nepali

these are commands for OSPF to redistribute in eigrp …

and for your confusion about interface you can see in topology R2 have only 1 int s 0/0/0 in ospf rest of 2 serial intfaces are in EIGRP so for redistribution of OSPF you need to check INT S0/0/0

similarly for R3 only Fa 0/0 is in OSPF so you need to check its interface properties to use as metric

serial int face have lower bandwidth 1544 as compared to Fa

hope this will make sense for you ….

    Passed today with 9xx/1000

Thanks to all those who contributed here .. this is an excellent forum to prepare for Cisco exams

It’s me vce v1.3/4 or Procyber are still 100% valid plus 10 to 12 new questions which have been discussed here in last 3 to 4 weeks – but make sure you guys keep checking this forum for any new updates or changes

    DND nothing new:
    AAA Authentication
    NAT64/NPTv6 Characteristics
    Frame Relay DLCI/SVC/LMI/FECN/PVC
    Strict/ Loose Mode
and may be 2 to 3 more but all from it’s me vce

    LABS
EIGRP OSPF redistribution – pretty much same , link between R2 and R3 was fast ethernet so i configured “distance eigrp 90 105” on R2
OSPF Lab Sim – same lab just different names, process IDs and area – so ready carefully before start configuring routers
PBR – next hop 10.1.101.2 but again this may change so please be careful
    EIGRP Simlet – same answers.
OSPF Simlet – 3 out 4 questions were same – just be careful about 4th question below

Check the serial links connected to R3. Which statements are correct?
    A. The neighbor command must be used on R1-R3 link to keep the adjacency up
    B. The OSPF timer values of R2-R3 link are 30, 120, 120
    C. The OSPF timer values of R1-R3 link should be 10,40,40
    D. R3 must flood LSUs to all the routers on the network.
Make sure you use “show cdp neighbors” command on R3 to check which interface pointing towards which router
    According to Topology it was showing R3 s1/0  R2 to R3 s1/1 to R1 but when I used “show cdp neighbors” then it was R3 s1/1  R2 to R3 s1/0 to R1
So I went according to what I got from “sh cdp neighbors” command and found below
Network Type between R2-R3 was not NON_BROADCAST but rather it was Point to Point so it has different timers and not (30,120,120) which means Option “B” is not correct
In this case Option “A” is correct

    Hope this feedback helps

Please advice on the below doubts in the PBR questions
    1. Did you applied “route-map PBR permitt 20” additionally?
    2. Was there any option for you availabe in the lab to generate HTTP traffic in the simulation ?

  23. CiscoTake
    November 11th, 2017

no need to enable telnet anywhere just telnet your isp from testing host (in your case telnet 10.1.101.1 80 ) and switch to border router and execute command show ip route and see under route map seq number(which you specify while configuring route-map) there will be packets and traffic in kbps …

    300-101-ROUTEv1.5 (updated by procyber 01.11.2017) ?

  25. fiddy
    November 11th, 2017

    @sky

No I did not apply “route-map PBR permitt 20” as it was not needed

Yes there is option on “a workstation” given in the topology to generate HTTP traffic and then you can verify it by typing “show route-map” on border router to see few packets, which will confirm that route-map is configured correctly

    a) none
    b) all of them
    c) version 8 and 9
    d) version 9
    Answer: D
2.What is the minimum log level for the event generated when an ACL drops a packet?
    a) 4
    b) 5
    c) 3
    d) 7
    e) 6
    Answer: E

    a) option 1
    b) option 2
    c) generates an ICMP unreachable message
    d) option 4
Answer: C (it’s in fact a “Destination Unreachable” message)
As in ICMPv4, in ICMPv6 this is done with Destination Unreachable messages. Each message includes a code that indicates the basic nature of the problem that caused the datagram not to be delivered,
and includes all or part of the datagram that was undelivered, to help the source device diagnose the problem.
    From RFC 4443:
A Destination Unreachable message SHOULD be generated by a router, or
by the IPv6 layer in the originating node, in response to a packet
that cannot be delivered to its destination address for reasons other
than congestion. (An ICMPv6 message MUST NOT be generated if a
packet is dropped due to congestion.)
    4. What is the NHRP role in DMVPN? (Choose 2)
    a) obtains the next-hop to be used for routing
    b) routes the packet through the tunnel
    c) identifies the PIM-SM RP used to route the packet
    d) don’t remember
Answer: A,B ——–> Not Sure but this is the answers till now

    C. The device that receives the stream is forced to hold data in the buffer for a longer period of time.
    D. The devices at each end of the stream are forced to negotiate a smaller window size.
    Answer: C
    7. Where does the EVN marks the traffic to separate different users ? (something like that)
    A. on the edge interface, with vnet tag
    B. on the edge, with 801.q
    C. on the trunk, with vnet tag
    D. on the trunk, with 802.1 q

why you are still confuse as serial interface have lower bandwidth as compare to fast Ethernet so serial link show very low BW i.e 1544 as compare to Fa i.e 100000 ….. dont remove or devide BW by 100 may be by mistake in configuration they remove 1 zero for BW … so dont worry about it whatever you find in exam put that value for BW … as of my understanding , dividing by 100 to delay value is for all cases..

follow the procedure and you can see at the end route redistribution successfully…

    @soso and all
here is the answer to your question :

Answer from the Cisco press CCNP Route – Quick Reference: I will copy the full paragraph of the book so you can understand.

    DMVPN
Configuring a full mesh of GRE or IPsec tunnels becomes unwieldy as
the network grows in size. Dynamic Multipoint Virtual Private Network
(DMVPN) dynamically creates IPsec tunnels on demand, thus easing the
administrative burden. DMVPN leverages multipoint GRE (mGRE), IPsec,
and Next Hop Resolution Protocol (NHRP). The hub site(s) creates an
mGRE tunnel interface. Each of the remote sites (spokes) is configured with
information about the hub and initiates a tunnel with the hub. The hub uses
NHRP to map each spoke’s tunnel IP address to its physical address.
When one spoke wants to send traffic to another, it uses an NHRP query to
ask the hub for the physical next-hop address of the other spoke. It can then
build a dynamic tunnel to that spoke.
DMVPN is a good choice when spoke-to-spoke connections are needed
because traffic does not have to traverse the hub. It also supports multicast
and routing protocols between the hub and the spokes.

the answer A and B to me is correct
